Operations Director (inspiring self-starter with logistics heart)

You will be responsible for all operational matters within Thijs Logistics. You will manage the planning, customer service, x-dock and warehouse departments . You will bring the operation to a higher level, placing as much responsibility as possible on the shop floor and coaching employees in implementing improvements. 
You initiate and lead various projects and investments. You bring a lot of know-how in the field of transport and logistics and optimize the (cost-) efficiency of the whole company. 
You are a pragmatic go-getter with a demonstrably successful track record. You provide goal-oriented and clear leadership on the shop floor and also like to roll up your sleeves yourself.   You have a relevant HBO/WO education in logistics or business administration. 
You are inventive and accustomed to a dynamic environment. You are well able to translate your analytical skills and strategic insight into pragmatic solutions on the shop floor. You are strongly cost-conscious, but not at the expense of your entrepreneurial spirit.
At management level, you fully represent the interests and developments of Thijs Logistiek, you demonstrate vision and business acumen. You have well-developed communication skills at all levels. Your management style is firm, you delegate a lot but keep control.
You have an excellent command of English and German language, French is a plus.
