Operations Manager (People Manager)

For our client Brouwer Transport and Logistics, we are looking for a solid Operations Manager who will take the company and employees to the next level!

You bring peace of mind. You are ultimately responsible for efficiency, effectiveness and organizing the overall operation. You are decisive and can handle freedom well.
As Operations Manager, you will lead a team consisting of 5 team leaders who schedule and manage approximately 80 driven employees. With your enthusiasm and leadership, you know how to inspire and coach your employees . You set the big picture and bring your team into the shared plans. You have contact with customers regarding operational processes and appointments.
The culture within the organization is characterized by a hands-on mentality and a results-oriented attitude. Together with your team, you therefore strive for continuous improvement and joint success by achieving the goals measured by the KPIs you set . In doing so, you keep an eye on the customer and, above all, on your colleagues and the organization. You provide a nice atmosphere, clear communication and a safe, pleasant working environment.

In this entrepreneurial role, you will also be involved in innovation and development. To do this, you work closely with the Project Coordinator and Business Analyst and proactively inform them. You come up with creative ideas and locate improvement opportunities. You are part of the management team and are a real sparring partner for the general manager, to whom you also report.

• HBO working and thinking level;
• Several years of demonstrable work experience in a similar role;
• Good IT skills
• Solution-oriented; results-oriented; decisive and persuasive;
• Stress resistant;
• People manager; organizationally strong;
• A good command of Dutch and English language;
