Transportation Team Leader

Create coherence, maintain overview and improve!

For MDI Logistics we are looking for a driven Team Leader Transport. You will be responsible for the operational management of the transport planners and drivers and the proper organization of the planning. Within this position you will provide structure, direction and guidance to the team so that everyone can develop optimally. You are not directly at the controls of the planning, but create peace and overview and provide space to work strategically and analyze processes.

As a Team Leader, you are an inspiring leader who ensures that the planners work efficiently and continue to develop. You can anticipate changes and up- and downscaling in transport and you always keep an eye on the bigger picture. Thanks to your guidance, the team works like a well-oiled machine and you keep improving where you can.

What will you do?

• You will lead a team of 6 planners and 45 drivers, ensuring streamlined collaboration;
• Provides structure and distinction within the team through clear communication and guidance;
• Executes operational goals and maintains oversight of processes;
• Optimize deployment of TMS, APS and BCs; assurance of qualitative input and usage and daily management of realized results.
• Contributes to the development of planners through coaching and feedback;
• Improves transportation processes by analyzing and initiating more efficient practices.
• Affinity and experience with data interpretation and KPIs

• Experience in team management, preferably within transportation or logistics;
