All-round Forwarder
Location: Barneveld — Internationaal transportbedrijf W. van Kommer
Organizer. Process-oriented. Planned. As All-round Expeditor at Van Kommer, you will be responsible for the Customs department and the inbound flow of goods to the Warehouse in Barneveld. The Customs department has recently been set up. Where previously all Customs related matters were outsourced, Van Kommer now offers a total solution in which Customs formalities are handled from its own expertise. For the innovative role, we are looking for a proactive team player who loves challenges and will help further develop the department. You are a keen planner, decisive, analytically strong and have experience in customs and transportation. You see opportunities, seize them but also know how to create new ones.
As an All-round Expeditor you will maintain contact with clients, transporters as well as shipping companies, terminals and unloading teams. You will advise on methods of storage, transportation and cost efficiency, among others. You will prepare transport documents, handle customs procedures and take care of the insurance of goods. All important import duties, freight payments and other agreements are recorded by you in the CRM system and monitored. As an All-round Expeditor you will report to the Operations Manager.
