Forwarder Ploeger

Are you an entrepreneurial team player? Freight forwarder and networker at heart? Then this is your chance! 
As Senior Expeditor you will be responsible within Ploeger Logistics B.V. for efficient and cost-effective buying and selling and planning of European/International freights. You will also provide daily operational handling, management and follow-up of agents, charters and carriers. 

Some of your duties as a Senior Expeditor include:

You will take initiative in seeking and attracting direct groupage loads for international forwarding, both from existing and new clients to be attracted;
You establish efficient and effective route plans;
You will ensure correct daily administrative recording of trips;
You communicate intensively and proactively with customers, agents, suppliers, transportation services, internal departments, etc.;
You will ensure proper processing of trip files.

We are looking for an enterprising team player with heart for the business who can keep several balls high at once.
You will report directly to the Transportation Manager.

Job requirements Expeditor Ploeger

• You have at least MBO working and thinking level
• Possession of an extensive network of carriers/transport options in Western Europe is a plus
• You have good knowledge of the European road network structure, working hours and driving and rest time regulations
• You have a good command of the Dutch, English and German languages
• You have a commercial drive and are cost and quality conscious, communication skills, customer and service oriented, stress resistant and flexible in working hours.
