Our client, Wemmers Tanktransport (part of Nijhof Wassink Group) is known for the food-safe transportation of liquid food products throughout Europe. With a modern fleet of more than 210 trucks and 350 tank trailers, they provide safe and timely deliveries in the liquid food sector every day. The Function
As Manager of Planning and Customer Service, you will make a difference as a crucial link in the operational process. You will coordinate transportation planning and customer service. You go for satisfied customers both internally and externally. You will lead a team of over 10 top colleagues, promote their personal development and contribute to a positive work environment.
Your colleagues at foreign sites are a valued part of the logistics chain. You speak to them regularly and travel a few times a year to meet with them in person. Working effectively with different cultures and working styles is a super fun part of this role, and in doing so, you will help build the globalization of our business. Internally, you will work pleasantly with departments such as fleet management and sales.
You will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Your Profile
We are looking for a proactive, people-oriented organizer!
- At least a college degree, preferably in logistics or business administration
- Multiple years of experience in transportation planning and/or customer service
- Excellent organizational skills and stress resistance
- Leadership qualities and the ability to motivate a team
- Creative and solution-oriented, bringing overview and analysis
- Strong communication skills, in Dutch and English, German is a plus
