Operations Manager Tank Container Logistics

In this challenging role, you will be operationally responsible for the daily process in the Logistics Operations department (tank containers). You have a lot of customer contact. You collaborate, support your team and keep an overview. You will bring structure to the way we work and ensure that your team continues to develop . This department is responsible for contacting various customers, scheduling 750 tank containers throughout Europe using various modes of transport and customs operations. Many of these transports are unaccompanied. This department is the heart of the organization. Road transports are transferred to Nijman/Zeetank’s transport department. You will work in a close-knit and diverse team of 10 people (8 FTE).

You will be part of a large international organization with a total of about 700 colleagues at home and abroad. You are in regular contact with the branches in the UK and Poland and, together with these colleagues, ensure optimal completion of transports throughout Europe. You will work with an enthusiastic and professional team which is open to change. The company has short lines of communication and the doors of management and directors are always open.

Job requirements Operational Manager Tank Container Logistics

• Hbo Logistics/technical transport engineering;
• At least 5 years working experience in intermodal transportation;
• Knowledge of ADR laws and regulations is a plus;
• Dutch, English and German (preferred) in word and writing;
• structured, analytical and problem-solving;
• proactive, natural leader and innovative.
