Site manager
Location: Antwerpen — Nijhof Wassink BV
This position takes care of business operations and the position holder is responsible for optimizing processes and the operation of the Antwerp office. The Site Manager is representative of the site and therefore ensures a neat appearance of the site where improvements are spotted and implemented, within the given mandate. In addition, regulations regarding occupational health, hygiene, safety and driving and rest period laws are enforced. The job holder is the first point of contact for drivers both during the day and on consignment. Taking care of personnel administration and personnel files is also part of the position. Although the position has a high degree of independence, regular consultation (by phone) with the Manager of Operations is required.
Job requirements Site manager
- HBO level of thinking and work where a logistics or business degree is preferred. This requires an affinity for transportation and demonstrable work experience in the transportation industry.
- Oral and written proficiency in English and German. French is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in Belgium.
- You are a real people manager. You know how to motivate and guide employees by communicating effectively.
- You are stress-resistant, tenacious and problem-solving.
